Rick Shoup (Research Analyst) brings several years of applied research experience to the NSSE team. This includes recent experience conducting institutional research for the University of Texas at El Paso’s (UTEP) Center for Institutional Evaluation, Research and Planning in addition to prior work developing and validating assessments for a national vendor of pre-employment selection products. Rick attained an undergraduate degree in Psychology with a Mathematics minor from Washington and Jefferson College. He later obtained a Master’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Rick’s research interests include the role of survey feedback in curricular improvement, first-generation student access to higher education, the educational experience of students who participate in extracurricular activities.
