Jacob is a first year Ph.D. student in higher education at Indiana University – Bloomington. He received his master’s degree in higher education from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Bucknell University. Prior to arriving at IU in August, Jake spent 11 months working as a college counselor in Beijing, China, in which he advised Chinese high school students on the American college application process. Jake has also worked professionally as the Coordinator of Greek Life and Theme Housing at Adrian College.
Jacob works as a NSSE project associate on Team 2 (institutions F-Ni).
Jake is interested in higher education leadership and governance. He is specifically interested in Asian and Asian American experiences as administrative leaders in American higher education.
